Finding Forward focuses on the connection between mental health and spiritual health. Society often teaches us to fix or conquer mental health, treating it like a problem to solve in order to get back to a happy life. This approach can trap us in cycles of control and avoidance, creating patterns such as negative coping, over-rationalizing emotions, or internalizing pain until it isolates us. It can also twist the value and purpose found in life’s challenges.
When we treat mental health only as a medical issue, we miss opportunities to understand ourselves more deeply and to strengthen our relationships with friends, family, and God. God is never done shaping you, and He often uses your experiences to prepare you for the next steps.
Finding Forward seeks to build healthy paths forward through the following steps: create open expression with your supports, believe in the purpose in your strengths and roles, and trust God to guide you through your challenges.
